Emma-Kate: Before George started with Beth, he totally lacked confidence and self belief, the difference in him in the past 18 months is marked! If we went to a restaurant before, George would tell me what he wanted not our server - not now! He speaks up, clearly and confidently! Not only has his confidence grown, but his self belief, he is a much better swimmer now as he believes he can do it - and his school results continue to reach higher and higher standards. Had I not witnessed the change in George for myself I wouldn't have believed it possible - and I'm not the only one, family members, teachers and friends have all commented on the huge change. Thank you so much Beth, you have made such a big difference to George, and us!
Laura: When Kitty started at the Helen O'Grady drama group, she was quite shy and introverted and I wasn't sure how she would deal with being somewhere unfamiliar with no-one she knew in the group. However, she has blossomed in the time she has been there and has learnt so many skills to help her feel more confident and believe in herself. She has so much fun at the classes with (the amazing) Kirsty and loves it when Beth comes to see them all. I think the highlight of the year has to be the show that the children performed in at the Y Theatre in Leicester. Again, I was anxious about how Kitty would be about performing on stage, but I shouldn't have doubted her new found confidence - all the children were brilliant and really enjoyed themselves. Great classes for all children!
Melanie: My two have been with Beth and Helen Grady Drama Academy for over 3 years. They have grown from in confidence and ability. Beth brings out the best in them - many times people have now mentioned how clear Meg is when speaking in public; she is now sassy and makes everyone laugh with her expression and accents. For Toby who is shy and has a speech impediment - this is the ONLY activity he will go to. The group is friendly and takes care and appreciates everyone in it. Toby feels safe and secure.
Although the curriculum taught at Helen O' Grady is challenging and fun - it is Beth who brings it to life and engages the children!
